# Privacy policy

Unexplained Subjects (USUBJECTS) operates this site. Send rights requests through the [contact page](https://usubjects.com/contact).

## Data processed

Normal requests can create technical records such as IP address, URL, timestamp, user-agent and security events. The Wire stores submitted email addresses and subscription status. Discord delivery stores submitted webhook URLs. A first-party cookie and local storage remember theme and display preferences.

## Purposes and legal bases

Technical records support delivery, security and troubleshooting on the basis of legitimate interests. Subscription and webhook data provide a requested service and, where applicable, rely on consent.

## Providers

Hetzner hosts the service; Cloudflare delivers and protects it and may provide cookie-free aggregate analytics. Email subscriptions may be synchronised with Buttondown. Submitted Discord webhooks are sent to Discord.

## Retention and rights

Subscriber data is kept until unsubscribe or deletion. Webhooks are kept until removed or disabled. The theme cookie expires after one year unless refreshed. Depending on location, users may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, object or withdraw consent and complain to their competent authority.

USUBJECTS does not use advertising cookies or tracking pixels.
