Overview
A Reddit post has drawn attention to the reported recovery of additional photographs associated with Robbert van den Broeke, a Dutch medium known for claims involving crop circles, paranormal experiences and alleged extraterrestrial encounters. The images are described as depicting a range of unusual figures, including grasshopper-headed humanoids, beings linked to crop circles and the entity known as the “StarChild.” However, the post and the accompanying archival material provide no independent verification that the photographs show extraterrestrial or paranormal beings.
The material is presented in an August 21, 2026, post published by Alien Archivist under the title “Robbert van den Broeke’s Paranormal Alien Photographs – Hoeven, Netherlands, 2004-2014.” It places the photographs within a decade-long body of claims made by van den Broeke, who said he could sometimes anticipate the appearance of crop circles and had developed the ability to photograph entities invisible to the naked eye.
Early Photographs and Claims
According to the account, van den Broeke began producing photographs of alleged spirits, extraterrestrials and other entities around 2004. One of the earliest episodes reportedly occurred on May 6 of that year at his parents’ home in Hoeven, in the Netherlands. He said he sensed a presence and photographed a faint mist near an armchair. The figure allegedly appeared in the fifth photograph of the sequence, with a framed image of his two-year-old nephew visible in the background.
Van den Broeke further claimed that the entity returned at approximately 4 a.m. on May 7 and was photographed again. On May 8, he reportedly captured another mist-like form in his bedroom that appeared to develop into an alien-shaped figure. He characterized the beings as peaceful, spiritual extraterrestrials connected with the crop-circle phenomenon, though those interpretations remain claims rather than established findings.
Existing Documentation
Some of the early material was reportedly published in the June 2004 issue of the MUFON UFO Journal, identified in the archive as issue No. 434, pages 1–3. The source also includes photographs captioned as showing Robbert and Peter van den Broeke in Hoeven on May 6, 2004. Publication in a UFO-oriented journal documents that the claims circulated among researchers at the time, but it does not by itself authenticate the images or establish the nature of the figures.
The archive describes other episodes as well. In August 2009, paranormal researcher Nancy Talbott was reportedly visiting van den Broeke when they discussed faces that allegedly appeared in his photographs. The account says van den Broeke then used Talbott’s camera to take a single photograph toward her. On September 20, 2009, he reportedly photographed several figures inside his home that he interpreted as “angels.”
Questions of Verification
The newly highlighted images add to an archive of material that has long attracted interest from UFO and paranormal communities. Yet the available information does not identify a controlled photographic setup, provide complete original files, establish a documented chain of custody or offer independent image analysis. Ordinary explanations—including reflections, motion blur, exposure effects, dust, staged images or later alterations—cannot be assessed from the post alone.
For that reason, the photographs are best understood as archival evidence of van den Broeke’s reported experiences and the claims surrounding them, rather than confirmed evidence of extraterrestrial life. Further evaluation would require access to original-resolution files, metadata, contemporaneous witnesses and independent forensic review.
